Russian Lashes now available at Elajé Hair and Beauty
We have recently introduced Russian Lashes at Elaje and they are fast becoming one of our most popular services!
So, what are they? Russian lashes get their name from a technique from Russia – as the same suggests. It involves placing a small fan of multiple lashes on each of your own natural lashes to literally multiply them by x4 or even x6 times! (This is also where the 4D and 6D lash terminology comes from).
With all these extra lashes the appearance is a beautiful, full volume feathery look. They can also be varied by how long/short/full you want them to be thy come in a wide variety of length and curl. The Varia and Tahitian Feathering give a more natural finish whilst the classic Russian layering is for those wanting that glamorous, super full look; so there’s something for everyone! Julia Gaudio, Managing Director and salon owner.
“I’m Julia Gaudio and I opened Elajé Hair & Beauty in Cambridge back in 2008. The salon is a result of many years assisting and training, to managing a salon before eventually fulfilling my dream to own a salon of my own.
My role has been to direct this business from a start-up venture to the thriving salon it is today and one that I am very proud of. I split my time working in the heart of the salon working as a hairdresser as well as planning and managing the business. I spend a considerable amount of time motivating the team through training days, networking, and attending industry events. I put a high premium on developing a happy, highly motivated and skilled team which I believe reflects on the Elajé experience. I need to know that what we promise can be delivered to an exceptional standard, which is why I invest a huge amount of time in all areas of education.
My attitude towards Elajé is to deliver honest, first-class hairdressing and make sure every client makes the very best of what they have. I am not frightened to say if something is wrong for you or that this treatment would best suit you. I always ensure I am one-step ahead and remain at the forefront of the industry which is my absolute priority; whether it is new beauty service or education program. I am confident that we can provide you with the very best service and treatments here at Elajé and guarantee our Look Like You ethos will make your hair or beauty appointment a truly exceptional experience.

Award finalists
We’ve been super busy at Elajé in recent months and made our way in to the finals for three prestigious hairdressing awards. In July, we were named finalist in the Salon Business Awards and headed to a champagne soiree on The Yacht in London. Moving in to September, we attended Most Wanted Grand Final awards and Julia was named a finalist in the Business Thinker category at the iconic Natural History Museum venue. Most recently, Elajé finalised for the Marketing Award at The British Hairdressing Business Awards held at The Lancaster Hotel in London.
“We have had a great year and overwhelmed to have been finalised for such amazing awards and be recognised as one of the very best in our industry. Huge thank you to all my wonderful team at Elajé and, of course, our lovely clients as without them, it wouldn’t be possible,” says Julia.

Elajé Master Therapist, Michelle Richardson has become a Dermalogica Specialist, after taking a series of advanced workshops.
The advanced certificate makes Elaje a specialist salon in delivering the Dermalogica facial. This wonderful treatment is renowned as one of the best salon treatments and ongoing care that you can provide for your skin.
It begins with a thorough cleanse and exfoliation before your therapist takes you through the zones of your face. This mapping of the zones of the face allows a prescription of what is needed for your particular skin type.
A relaxing steam and massage is followed by cleansing, toning and masques that are ideally suited to your individual needs.
“Moisturising treatments are applied just where they are needed as Dermalogica treatments are about skin health and not just a wonderful pamper experience, which is an added bonus,” said Michelle.

Elajé Reaches Finals of Prestigious National Awards!
Elajé’s Founder and Managing Director, Julia Gaudio, is celebrating after being named a finalist in the Business Thinker category of national hairdressing competition – the Most Wanted Awards.
Following a judging session by more than 50 influencers from the worlds of hair and fashion, Julia has been voted one of the UK’s most dynamic business thinking hairdressers and will be heading to the Most Wanted Grand Final on Monday 7 September 2015. Taking place at iconic London venue, the Natural History Museum, the awards event will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall.

After an intense judging process, category sponsors, key business associates and industry names that are respected for their vision and success, confirmed Elajé Hair and Beauty as a leader within their field.
Elaje has finalised for the Marketing Award, and the winner will be announced at the glittering event, which takes place at The Lancaster hotel in London in September.
With a celebrity host at the helm, this year’s winners will be announced in front of an audience packed with VIPs from the worlds of hair, fashion and the media.

CACI delivers the perfect bikini bottom

Elajé is finalist for English Hair & Beauty Awards
Elajé Hair & Beauty is a finalist for the Hair Salon of the Year for East England award in the English Hair & Beauty Awards 2014.
Thousands of nominations via a public vote flooded in for the third annual English Hair and Beauty Awards. The prestigious event will be taking place on the 30th March at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.
The glitzy event is held to show appreciation and raise awareness of the expertise and professionalism of the hair and beauty industry; from salons to the talented individuals who work within them. The event promises to be as glamorous as the nominated individuals and salons.
